Severing of the three poisons
There exists many types of poisons in this world; poison of medicine, poison of venom and honey, electricity, magic, mantra and even poison of the charm. However, the most difficult for us to detect is the deep rooted three poisons of greed, hatred and delusions. Only the awakened arahants who cultivate according to the right dharma can they be completely severed from the remainders (obstacle of afflictions), thus achieving a wholesome life.
贪欲瞋恚痴, 是世间三毒, 诸佛皆已断,实语毒消除,
贪欲瞋恚痴, 是世间三毒, 达磨皆已断, 实语毒消除,
贪欲瞋恚痴, 是世间三毒, 僧伽(sangha).皆已断, 实语毒消除,
一切诸世尊, 有大威神力, 罗汉具名称, 除毒令安稳,
我等并眷属, 常得离灾危, 愿佛母明王, 令一切安稳.
