艾略特·史密斯（英语：Elliott Smith，1969年8月6日－2003年10月21日），本名史蒂芬·保罗·史密斯，美国创作歌手与音乐家。出生于内布拉斯加州奥马哈，史密斯童年大部分在德州度过，后在奥勒冈州波特兰定居并开始了音乐生涯的时光，亦是他一生中相当重要的部分。史密斯以演奏吉他为主，但也精通钢琴、单簧管、贝斯、鼓与口琴等乐器。史密斯有副与众不同的嗓音，搭配他喃喃唱诉、绸网般细致的唱腔，以及多声轨技术，制造层次感、质韵与和声。

在摇滚乐团Heatmiser演奏多年后，1994年，史密斯与独立唱片厂牌Cavity Search与Kill Rock Stars合作发行首张专辑，开启了单飞生涯。1997年，史密斯与DreamWorks唱片签约，并发行了两张专辑。同年，史密斯为电影《心灵捕手》演唱〈Miss Misery〉一曲，获得了奥斯卡金像奖最佳原创电影歌曲提名，才使史密斯受到瞩目，打入主流市场。

史密斯长期为忧郁、酗酒、毒瘾所困，而这些经历亦成为他创作的题材。2003年10月21日，史密斯因胸口二道刀伤逝于加州洛杉矶，得年三十四岁。验尸报告无法断定刀伤是否是史密斯自己所为。史密斯当时正在录制他的第六张专辑《From a Basement on the Hill》，该专辑后于2004年10月19日史密斯逝后顺利问世。
