Laurence Larson, also known as 羅藝恆, is a New Zealand artist who is fluent in Chinese. Since his debut on the Chinese television show 'The Voice' in 2016, he has been making waves in the Mando-pop music scene as both a performing artist and writer/producer. Initially gaining popularity online by releasing covers of popular Chinese songs with his Chinese to English translations, Laurence has since released multiple successful original singles and EPs. During the Covid pandemic, he honed his craft by working with some of the best in the industry as a writer with Universal in Taiwan. With his unique mix of Chinese and English, Laurence has truly found his voice with the first single of his 7-song debut album, 'Don't Wanna Leave Your Love' ('不想離開你的愛'). Along with his wife Chia, Laurence has built up his own independent team of creatives alongside Resident Studios in Taiwan, who are passionate about staying on the cutting edge of what's next for Chinese music and sharing their stories with the rest of the world. This song shares the coy emotions and quirky uncertainties during the early stages of his relationship with his Kiwi/Taiwanese wife Chia. A slow burning acoustic indie pop track with strong R&B elements, perfect for replay on a relaxing day.
