1995年，修道院學校的Christoph'Christ'von Freydorf（鼓手）和Stefan'Fini'Finauer（鼓手）與Christoph的教堂合唱團朋友Jamie'Citnoh'Richardson（低音吉他）共同創立了樂隊。 Stephan Karl'Moik'和FranzWickenhäuser（都是吉他）加入了他們。樂隊成立於慕尼黑附近的Hohenschäftlarn。埃米爾·布爾斯這個名字源自一部兒童電影。
