“蝗蟲”是來自美國加利福尼亞州聖地亞哥的美國朋克搖滾樂隊，以其獨特的速度與侵略性，複雜性以及新的浪潮怪異而聞名。

歷史

在蝗蟲創始成員賈斯汀·皮爾遜和迪倫·沙爾夫之前，在硬核朋克樂隊奮斗在一起，形成於1990年底。樂隊只持續了三年。儘管如此，他們還是有機會與其他重要的樂隊分享音樂空間，有著類似的意識形態觀點，比如Born Against，Downcast，Bikini Kill和Econochrist。樂隊於1994年解散。

蝗蟲由Bobby Bray，Justin Pearson，Dylan Scharf，Dave Warshaw和Dave Astor於1994年組成。經過多次人事變動，他們於2001年抵達目前的四人陣容，包括布雷，皮爾遜，喬伊卡蘭和加布塞爾維亞人。蝗蟲最初是一個強大的暴力項目，其第一個版本是與流派先驅人是混蛋分裂。後來的版本加入了合成器，變得越來越戲劇化。樂隊定期在洛杉磯和聖地亞哥的各個年齡段的朋克俱樂部演出，通常穿上昆蟲服裝。

2007年3月20日，“蝗蟲”通過ANTI發行了第三張專輯“New Erections”。在“新勃起”發行之後漫長的巡演之後，“蝗蟲”繼續停滯。

2010年5月18日，Locust發布了2001年9年前“Peel Session”的檔案錄音，簡稱為“Peel Sessions”，通過Radio Surgery發布。這首16首歌曲是Gabe Serbian第一次為The Locust打鼓，最後確定了Bobby Bray，Joey Karam，Justin Pearson和Gabe Serbian的陣容。

2012年7月31日，The Locust通過ANTI發行了一張精選專輯“The Gold Standard Labs”。這張專輯包含了所有在1997年至2002年期間發行的黃金標準實驗室標籤上的材料。
